Here I will list my favorite authors + the books I have read from them. I will also rate them and give my favorite characters.
Thank you to Remy for making this code ā”
This is one of the best books in the series. It's all about Connor, Risa, and Lev. For a little background - a child can be unwound between the ages of 13-17 which is where their rights are given to the government, and their organs/body parts can be harvested. It's a really good book. 10/10 My favorite character of course is Conner!
Bru. This was was a lot more boorrring. It was a lot of scene setting and character introduction. Like a good chunk of the book was literly setting the scene. And then.... just read the book. The ending was really good, but this made me want to slam my head into a wall. Come to think of it, I think I did bump my head into a poll because of this book. 7.8/10 My favorite chacter has to be Cam. He's adorable. His heart is in the right place, but his mind isn't.
UnSouled: Book 3This was a really good book too. Way better than the second one. This one has a lot more character build and suspense. Also I absolutely hate Starkey. Like he is the character I hate the mose. I absolutely hate reading what his character does. Like, just no. But we learn more about Cam!!! 9/10 A really good book. Hands down, my favorite character has to be Grace. She is waayyy too smart for her own good.
..... Bru.... Happy ending the ground. This book had such a bitter sweet ending - something Neal apparently loves to do. Like, I'm happy for the characters, but like... you're telling me you've gone through sooo much, and now you can just like... go your seperate ways? Also, a character I wished would die died, and a character I didn't want to die... died. Neal... Why... 10/10 besides the first book, this is hands down my favorite. I have to say, my favorite character is tied between Hayden and Una. I love them both. Mainly Hayden. He's probably my favorite.
This one was a really cool read. Neal gave us a bit of a backstory on a few characters - which really answered a lot of questions I had about some characters. Although, I really wished he gave us a little bit on what Starky's group is still doing - like if they redeamed themselves or something. 8/10 Definitely would read this series again. Also, I really want a man like Argent. Like how is he sooo loyal to Divan? Iykyk.
This one is actually a really cool concept. For a background, Scythe is about these people called Scythes, and they "Glean" people or reap them. It's reallu cool and has a few plot-twists. 9/10 It's a really good book. My favorite character has to be Faraday. And I absolutely hate, hate, haaattte Goodard. Like, why does he even exist??
...... Why....? Neal.... Why? I swear, just like the second book in Unwind, Neal has to bore you to death before he gives you misery. Like, I love you Neal, but I swear if I ever meet you in person, I will throw one of your books at you. (Just kidding. I would never do that to youā”) 8.5/10 I love it, but the only good part is at the end of the book. My favorite character might just be Curie. She's like really cool.
Oh.... my god... I mean like, there was sooo much going on in this book. I don't think I ever got bored. Like this has so many plot points. And even more action. Like I swear, if no one was fighting, it was someone plotting a fight. 9/10 A really good read, probably my favorite book in the series. Grayson is definitely my favorite in this book.
This one was a really cool read. I learned a lot about Curie and how she earned her nickname. Neal also gave some back stories on some other places and how Scythes work there. However, I do kinda wish he gave more about the people who live with body modifications. But then again, I guess that wouldn't really be thaat interesting. 10/10 Will definitely read again.
This one was really interesting. For a background on this book, Everlost is like a purgatory place for children who lost their way to "the light". It's like the in between. They're ghost. This story was really a thinker. 8.5/10 This was a great read. My favorite character of course is Allie.
This basically a set up for the actuall plot. For some reason, Neal loves to make the first book really interesting, and then the second one gets really, really, boring until right at the end. But this was still really good. 8.5/10 Still a really good one. Mikey has to be my favorite.
Neal.... Neeeaaalll... Why??? Why do you always have to end your book series with such a bitter sweet ending. You did so three times now. I hate it, and love it. I swear, I felt like I wanted to throw myself at a wall. 10/10 The scar wrath was honestly my favorite character. His design was just awesome.
For a background on this book, it's about the three realms: Heaven, Earth, and the Ghost realm. I really like this books depiction of the three realms. Like heaven is practically the clouds. It feels like the Ghost Realm is just like underneath Earth. I especially like how silly the main character, Xie Lian is. 10/10 definitely my favoirte series which is why I'm ā”rereadingā” it. My favorite character hands down is San Lang. He is just so adorable. I love his personality.
My god. No spoliers but like San Lang is just adorable and so daring. Like he has no shame. I just love him!!! He is definitely the best character. The wind master is probably second. As much as I love Xie Lian, more people just take his spot light. But, to be fair, since he's with San Lang, of course he's first too. There is no way I'm not giving this a 10/10, like how can I not? San Lang absolutely loves teasing Xie Lian ā”ā”ā”
I need someone like San Lang (ć¤ā„ļ¹ā„)㤠Like how is he sooo perfect???? Also, not to spoil to much, but like how can the most someone who has lived for like thousands of years just not cook? But then again he does have a househusband for that. I absolutely love this book. While rereading the series my reading phase is dying so like.... it's slowly getting boring. My favorite character, of course, is still ā”San Langā”
